Getting There. 43.401531, -73.733131 MAP . Note: despite what they say, it is seldom groomed. February 27, 2026 - xc ski at Lake George Recreation Center and environs. Most easy and more difficult trails were groomed - packed and corrugated, no tracks set - it had not been groomed on all my previous visits over the years. West Brook runs thru it. Clockwise around Magua's Revenge - lightly broken out by skiers and snowshoers - nice. Short off-trail to the canyon and to top of sledding hill for the view. Temp rising through the 30s, mostly sunny, sticky snow needed Maxiglide. 4.3 hours. Feb 3, 2025 - LAKE GEORGE RECREATION CENTER xc ski. Good skiing on 5"-8", less under hemlocks. I hit a few hidden rocks covered by 1-1.5" that fell last night (could be uncovered now) - could use more, but I had a blast anyway. Hit many of the trails, some twice/thrice, sometimes in the opposite direction. Let's Go, Hawkeye, 204th Way, Bear Claw, Magua's Rev...
